Humans are capable of a lot more then what we are expected to believe in the first place. Being able to hold your breath for over a minute, withstanding very cold conditions, and being able to remove your own appendix?
Leonid Rogozov, a medic for the Soviet Antarctic research station, had been forced to remove his own appendix. How? This began while on an expedition, he began to felt very ill, then lethargic. As the day went on he became more and more weak and more and more nauseous. It became obvious that he needed to take his appendix out or he could have died. Without any medicine available to ease the pain and no where near any type of hospital, Rogozov was then only limited to taking out his own appendix. This action saved his life.
My Question: Would you be able do anything like Leonid did?.. Even if it was to save your own life?

I think that if i was in that position as leoni i would not have been able to doo it. I dont think that i would be brave enough and the tolorance to do. Firts off, i would not even be knowledgeable to know that i even needed to take out my aoppendix nevermind know how to do. If it was to save my own life, im not even sure that i could do it.
i don't think i would be able to remove my own appendix or perform any type of surgery on myself. i have no knowledge on how to perform surgery and would probably end up killing myself if i tried.

I would not be able to do what Leonid did because I do not have the courage to do it. I do not have much information about what to do and I am not confident in it. I would not be able to stand watch someone giving me injection so there is no way that I can withstand the pain to do the surgery on myself. I might probable pass out from fear.
I think if the situation was one that I could accomplish, ie not an appendicitis, like the guy who cut his arm off to stop him from being crushed by a boulder, that I could possibly do something like that. It's hard to say until it happens, though.
