Do You Dare To Be Bad?

Imagine an entire day without consequences for any of your actions
You will wake up tomorrow and everything will have gone back to normal without anyone else remember or having the slightest clue what you did.

There are no punishments for your words or actions and nobody will hold a grudge against anything you did. Would you still be able to do terrible things such as commit murder?

Do you believe that punishments and consequences are the only things that hold people back from any wrong doings or do you believe your conscience has more to do with it than people think?

I believe that punishment and consequences deffinetly play a role in influencing people not to do wrong things. However, atleast for me my conscience would get the best of me. So, i think the fact that we have a conscience it causes us to be better people, and feel terrible if we did something wrong.

I don't think that punishments are the only thing that hold us back. Some people have a very strong conscience, but some people would act on impulse if they knew nobody would know.
I personally, would do some bad things that I have wanted to do for a while, but nothing like murder.

First off, I believe punishment and consequences shape our conscience, in our head our conscience tells us “do not do that, you will receive a punishment, etc”. Overall, when it comes to wrong doings I do think that punishments and consequences hold us back big time, and our conscience (if strong) warns us to stay away from such things. If you have values, moral, and a strong conscience, you will avoid doing certain things in order to avoid trouble. We are all placed in situations where we can do something bad—maybe we want to do it, maybe we don’t, either way our conscience will “talk to us” and based on our own will we decide what to do.

I believe that punishment hold back a lot of people, but also self conscience plays a big role in our actions. In my opinion i think self conscience has more to do with what you think.
There's alot of things that people will do if there were no punishment some people will even kill i know there's really bad people out there, in my case that won't change anything i will still be the same person i am now. Because if there's a punisment for something that means that's bad and you shouldn't be doing it.

I feel that punishments and consquences hold people back just as much as one's conscience does. These situations when choosing to do the right or wrong thing comes into play, it all depends on the person. Some people will do the wrong thing regardless of the punishment and have no care of the effects. Other people though won't because of consquences and more imporantly, their conscience telling them its wrong. I personally wouldn't be able to do bad things even if no one ever knew and nothing came of it. My conscience is huge and definately gets the best of me in many situations, which leads me to make the right decisions most of the time.

I agree with most here; people would definitely be held back by their concience. Most people wouldn't wnat to feel guilty about their actions - even if they had no consequences. Nevertheless, some people would probably take advantage of this - there is no way to really tell, it depends on the persons personality.

If I could spend an entire day with no consequences for my actions, I most likely wouldn't do anything bad that I usually wouldn't do. Just because you wouldn't be punished by others, doesn't mean that you won't feel guilty for what you have done. Your conscience would still determine your actions, regardless of the other consequences. I belive many would take advantage of this, however, to do things like steal, to benefit themselves.

Growing up we are taught from our parents right from wrong. I strongly believe that growing up with these people on our shoulders, makes our conscience overrule us when bad choices are presented in front of us.
