I do not have a New Year’s Resolution, because I feel like making a resolution for the New Year is cliché. First off, I believe you should choose a resolution when you really want to or need to, too many people put off their goals until the New Year, which just shows procrastination and lack of commitment. Also, how many people carry out their resolution for the whole year? Not many. I feel like if someone wants to change, they should change at any time, not just because it’s a New Year— but if you want to start then, that’s your choice. I also think the term “new year” is really hyped up. 2010 is just another date on the calendar, the same people and everyday situations you have been dealing with since 2009 or whenever are not going to magically disappear just because it’s a new year. If I had a new year’s resolution, I would probably keep it for a little, but then lose my goal. As of right now, there’s not much I need a resolution for, the new year doesn’t give me much incentive to start a new me, but when I feel the need to fix something, the start of the new year won’t be when ill start, I’ll start when I feel the time is right. I feel like if you really want to change something in your life, you need to start now, today; not tomorrow or a few months until the new year comes, why wait?
No, I do not have a New Year's resolution. This is because for one, I do not know what the resolution would be, and two, I know that I will not keep it.
I would not keep it because I very much dislike change in my life. I find it very unlikely that I would change something in my life for a whole year--especially when I do not get anything for it. I would need something to motivate me--not just myself.
At the start of every new year I create a "resolution" for myself. Its usually the same to work out and get fit, as I am sure every other person has for themselves. This is something I never stick to and constantly put off. This year I didn't put much thought into a resolution and I do not intend to because I can never fully commit myself to a pact that I never keep. This year I hope to just be the best I can be. If that is considered a new year's resolution I dont want to force myself to stick to it. Resolutions can become a burden because people feel guilty to themselves for not sticking to what they want to change. I definitely find myself struggling to keep resolutions and I feel bad about myself when I don't stick to them. This year I make no resolutions or promises, especially if I don't intend to keep them!
This year i was thinking about having a new years resolution but i really dont need one. i also think new years resolutions arent kept anyways so knowing how lazy i am i wouldnt be very committed to doing it. But i did hear something on the news about a website that has you bet on your new years resolution, i think that this new way or other ways that wages something that is more important to someone will definitely help people stay more true to their resolutions then they have in passed years.
Yes I do have a new years resolution, I wanted to lose weight but I don't know how long it'll be before I break that resolution. I usually do by the first three months so its just a goal to keep in mind for me. I think next year I'll try a different resolution or not one at all because after awhile I forget what I wanted to resolve in the first place. Resolutions I feel are hard to keep because there is so many other things going on in our lives that its just hard to focus on one specific goal to accomplish.
I do not have a new years resolution because I feel like every time in years past I thought of one it would be to lose weight or to eat healthy and exercise daily and I never kept it. I recently read somewhere about new years resolutions and that if you really want to change something about yourself you will do it, new year or not. I think that's a good way to think and the new year should not be all about making one resolution and going crazy to stick to it for the next 12 months.
I make a resolution for myself each year. I never make a life changing resolution becuase I dont need a new year to motivate myself to do that. I just change my outlook and try to pick one little thing to improve myself for the new year. I think its necessary to constantly improve yourself and going into the new year with a set idea of what i want to do is beneficial for myself. Its not very hard to keep this resolution becuase its something little and im not going to give up on it.
When the new year comes i never really think about resolutions. I use to have them when i was younger because i always thought it was something I had to do for the holiday but now i don't put much thought into them. I'm constantly thinking of things that I could make as my new years resolution but I know that if I really want to change something or accomplish something I will do it whatever day it is.
I never really think much about new years resolutions. If i do have one it is usually something i dont keep up with or ill say to keep doing good in school. I dont really stick with new years resolutions, I used to have them more when i was younger.
